What is SCRIP?
Scrip is an ongoing fundraiser for our church. Scrip gift cards or certificates from stores and restaurants are used just like money. When you buy a $25 Scrip certificate for a specific store, you receive $25 worth of goods or services from that retailer.
How does that raise money for Court Street UMC?
Through a local and national network, Court Street UMC purchases Scrip at a discount, then sells these certificates at face value. That’s how we make a profit. When purchasing Scrip, you never pay more than its face value.
What is Cash & Carry Scrip?
Cash and Carry Scrip certificates are available at the time you pay for them. All other forms of Scrip have to be ordered and pre-paid, and will be available in 1-3 weeks.
How and Where Can I Buy It?
- From the church office during office hours
- Purchase before and after the Sunday Worship in the Sanctuary narthex.
- DOWNLOAD and print the form, then bring it in or mail it to the church office.
